So, yeah. On one level, this was a pretty simple affair. Get dressed. Get together at Kane's brother's house, out in the Macedon Ranges. Get married. And on another level, it was as involved, as fun, as lovely a wedding day as I have been asked to shoot. Shehz designed and made her own dress. And yes, it is wild. If not particularly white. In the words of her dad... "Super, Wunderbar, Merveilleux, Ghanu majhenu, Bahut achha, Channagide, Rumbo nalla". This is their day.
This was a wedding that happened by a lake. There was a boat full of beer. Guitar playing. Kids and dogs hanging out, having fun. There were frogs. Impromptu yabbie fishing. Good espresso. Great food. So yeah, I was never going to get Julia and Ollie to duck out of the party for some light painting. But that's ok. They did the limbo instead. Also, there was paella. This is Julia and Ollie's wedding day.
Kristen & Daniel got married at the Butter Factory, in Euroa. It's fair to say that there was a lot of work, a lot of thought and a lot of preparation for this day. Mostly, though, there was just a lot of love. And maybe a few tears...
Luckily, it rained for about sixteen hours straight. So yesterday wasn't a total fire ban out in the Yarra Valley. Gave us an opportunity for this.
