weddings

Indra and David got married at Stillwater at Crittenden. It was a day of good whisky, good friends and much laughter. There were lollipop bribes. Beautiful touches. Cuban cigars. And when David saw Indra, he wept for joy.

This was personal. Well, every wedding I shoot is personal, no doubt about it. But Jane and Alex's wedding day resonated with me, for a simple reason. Edie and Milly. Two beautiful girls. My wife and I, in fact. Pretty good omen, I reckon.

It was about making everyone there feel involved. About inclusiveness. It was celebratory, yeah - but deeply personal. I guess it should have been kind of a high pressure day for me. You know - shooting friends who are also wedding photographers. It never felt like that. It felt like I was a guest. With a camera. Charged with capturing the day for them. This is Marieke and Luke's wedding. Epic? Maybe. Amazing? Sure. Beautiful? No doubt. Wonderful? ...
